Much More Than This! – Chronicles 2:5
King Amaziah hired 100,000 mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver. But there came a man of God to Him, saying, “Let not the army of Israel go with you: for the Lord is not with Israel. But if thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make you fall before the enemy: for God hath Power to help, and to cast down.”
Amaziah asked, “but what shall we do for the money I gave them”. The man of God said, “The Lord is able to give you much more than this”.
Oftentimes, we find ourselves in situations that we feel we can not get out of because we put too much effort in it, invested too much time, money or even emotions. However, if it is not of God and He is not in it; you need to get out because you will surely fall! Amaziah worried about what he already gave the men of Israel, but the man of God told him, God is able to do two things; help you or cast you down.
“Amaziah, he is able to give you much more than this!”
If you are reading this, whatever situation you are in that is not of God… Get out! Don’t worry about what you put in, the time, the money….if it is not of God! Get out! Because God has the power to help you or cast you down, just like He told Amaziah through the man of God. He is the same God today as He was in the Bible days. It is not worth it, He is able to “Give You Much More Than This!” He is God!
